A muted CD player

As scheduled my driver, the real one, picked me up this morning. For the first time since he has been chauffeuring me around, he turned on the CD player that always says “mute”. Expecting Indian music is some flavor of his native tongue, I was shocked at what began blaring out of the back speakers. With the techno cranked, I felt like I was entering a rave and I started to dig through my laptop bag for a black light, glow sticks, and a pill bottle filled with ecstasy. I did not find any or the previous listed items. Soon the beat slowed down and lead into a pause. The second song was unidentifiable by me but I imagine Twisted Sister played something similar (well if I knew what Twisted Sister sounded like). By this point we are entering the business park, as we did the second song was coming to its dramatic close. I am enjoying the new sounds as they kind of drowned out the constant horn honking. With only time for one more song I could only hope it was a good one. I am already on the edge of my seat in anticipation of the next song. To ensure no disappointments during this ride, we rolled up to my building rocking out to “Eye Of the Tiger”. Jumping out of the car, I through a couple of Rocky double fist pumps high into the air, and gave the guard a high five as I jogged into my building. Skipping the elevator I ran up the 5 flights of stairs where I dropped a series of open air jabs and then headed for the coffee maker. This has to lead to a good day right….
